KSH Group of Companies
The KSH Group of companies provide a leading service in the practical conservation, restoration, and technical study of easel and monumental paintings from the 14th century to the present day.
The company was established in 2004 by Kiffy Stainer-Hutchins. Kiffy previously worked for over fourteen years in leading museums in the UK and USA, and both Kiffy and Hugo Platt are Professionally Accredited Members of the Institute for Conservation (Icon). Following the successful establishment of the Studio the KSH Group was extended in 2012 and again in 2017 to secure the long term growth of the studio to enable us to offer a better service to our clients.
We operate from two sites, a main studio and offices on the Houghton Estate, north Norfolk (home of the Marquis of Cholmondeley), and a small studio in north London.
We have a core team of five staff with a combined experience of over 90 years in the field of fine art and art conservation – both in the private sector and in leading museums and galleries, nationally and internationally.
The KSH Group of companies enjoys a close professional relationship with many leading institutions around the world – including Tate Britain, National Gallery London, V&A Museum, Courtauld Institute, Hamilton Kerr Institute, Northumbria University, National Galleries of Scotland, National Museums Liverpool, Norfolk Museums & Archaeology Services, National Gallery of Art Washington DC, Metropolitan Museum New York, and the Getty Conservation Institute.
We are a small, friendly, and highly skilled company that prides itself on working to an exceptionally high standard of work.
