On smaller projects for individual clients we are happy to give friendly free advice over the phone and via email where it is simple and relatively straightforward.

We often make free or reduced cost visits and in situ consultations where they are within a reasonable radius of our main office or London – or where they can coincide with other trips /visits we are making nearby on the same day.

Equally, free advice and a verbal indication of costs can be provided if items are brought to our studios by prior arrangement.

We are also very aware of the financial constraints relating to churches, and ecclesiastical bodies in particular, as well as small institutions, local council museums and civic trusts.  In these instances we can often provide advice regarding sources of funding and grant applications.

It is always worth discussing with us what is or might be entailed as we are often able to provide basic initial services and advice free of charge or on a deferred and pending confirmation of contract basis.

KSH & Co works on a fee for work carried out; we do not work on a commission percentage basis.  Our rates are very competitive and all costings will be given in writing, stating a maximum ceiling price which will not be exceeded.  Where work falls short of this maximum cost, clients will only be charged the actual cost incurred.  In exceptional circumstances on complex projects where the final outcome cannot reasonably be foreseen, the client will be consulted well in advance, and their approval sought, before any further additional costs are incurred.

On larger projects for corporate clients KSH & Co are also well versed in competitive tendering and providing initial surveys and costing for HLF and other finding bids.
